Following a tough 132–101 home defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, Sacramento Kings forward/center Maxime Raynaud reflected on his team’s performance.
Raynaud acknowledged that the Kings struggled defensively throughout the game, allowing Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein to have a career night with 33 points and 19 rebounds.
"Hartenstein played with great energy and punished us on both ends. We have to be more consistent on defense and stay connected as a unit," Raynaud said.
Discussing his own progress, Raynaud mentioned that he continues to adjust to the speed and physicality of the NBA. He emphasized learning from each matchup and focusing on improving his decision-making under pressure.
"Every game is a lesson. I’m getting more comfortable with the pace and trying to bring energy whenever I’m out there," he added.
Raynaud assessed Sacramento’s defensive lapses and praised Hartenstein’s dominant performance, while expressing determination to grow through each NBA challenge.
