Footy great Brendan Fevola revealed that he experienced a strange home invasion over the weekend, fearing that he and his family were about to be robbed. The father of four was preparing to take his youngest daughter, Tobi, rollerskating when the incident occurred.
As Fevola was leaving the house, he turned around and was shocked to see an elderly woman and her dog standing in his hallway.
“Oh my god, I’ve had an intruder,” the former Carlton and Brisbane star said on the Fifi, Fev and Nick show. “I turn around and see this old lady with a dog walking into our house, and the dog just comes in and I go: ‘Hello?’”
Fevola initially suspected the woman might be scouting his home, especially given it was Halloween weekend.
“I was like: ‘Is this person scoping my house out? Get old people to come into my house and see what you’ve got and later on you get robbed,’” he said. “I was like: ‘Is this a set-up?’”
The former Carlton and Brisbane player remained cautious but the situation turned out to be unusual rather than dangerous.
