Fans of the classic medical dramedy Scrubs have plenty to celebrate. Just a week after the premiere date was revealed, the first sneak peek of what’s now called Scrubs Season 10 has been released.
On November 5, the official Scrubs Instagram shared a behind-the-scenes clip confirming that filming is officially underway. In the video, John "J.D." Dorian appears in a director’s chair holding a sign reading:
“Now in Production.”
The camera then pans to Donald Faison, returning as Dr. Christopher Turk, holding the same sign. The post continues with glimpses of Sarah Chalke and Judy Reyes in full hospital attire as Dr. Elliot Reid and Nurse Carla Espinosa.
The beloved show is scheduled to return to ABC in February with two back-to-back episodes. The revival was confirmed in December 2024 and reunites the original cast, including Zach Braff, Faison, Chalke, Reyes, and John C. McGinley.
New faces joining the cast include Vanessa Bayer and Joel Kim Booster. Production has not been without challenges; co-showrunner Tim Hobart has recently exited the project.
Scrubs first aired in 2001 and ran for nine seasons, becoming a cult favorite for its mix of humor, heart, and hospital-life chaos.
Author’s summary: The Scrubs revival unites its original cast and new faces, officially restarting production for an anticipated February ABC release.
