Taylorsville police reported that emergency dispatchers received multiple calls shortly after noon about a fight among juveniles in a parking lot near 5600 South and Redwood Road. Although the cause of the fight and shooting remains unclear, police confirmed the child's injury is not life-threatening.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the public."
