Dense Morning Fog Obscures Northshore Roads

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously across the northshore as a dense fog advisory remains in effect early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory covers communities north of Interstates 10 and 12 and east of Interstate 55, including Slidell, Hammond, Franklinton, and Poplarville. It also extends into parts of South Mississippi, such as Gulfport and Pascagoula. The advisory is set to remain in effect until 8 a.m.

Travel and Safety Guidance

“We are expecting fog to develop early in the morning and have issued a Dense Fog Advisory from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. tomorrow for areas generally north of I-10/12 and east of I-55,” reported the National Weather Service.
