Chris Daniels has been named the new director of Oklahoma City's General Services Department, succeeding Paul Bronson. City Manager Craig Freeman announced the appointment, marking a leadership change after Bronson's 38 years of service.
Daniels will start transitioning into his new role on November 14 and will fully assume responsibilities following Bronson's retirement on January 1, 2026.
"Chris is a results-driven manager and excels at building a work environment where employees feel valued and appreciated," said City Manager Craig Freeman.
As director, Daniels will oversee a team of 77 employees across three divisions:
Before this promotion, Daniels managed warehouse operations and served as Streets Superintendent since 2021. He joined the City of Oklahoma City after a varied career, including leadership roles at Goodwill Industries and experience with motorcycle dealerships such as Honda-Suzuki and Harley-Davidson World.
Daniels is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative Leadership at the University of Oklahoma.
