Jeremy Renner: Staggering Claims As Filmmaker Accuses Actor Of Intimidation

Jeremy Renner Accused of Misconduct by Filmmaker Yi Zhou

Jeremy Renner, the 54-year-old actor known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel universe, has been accused of misconduct by filmmaker Yi Zhou. Zhou alleges that Renner sent her unsolicited pornographic photos beginning June 2024.

Allegations and Threats

Zhou claims that after she confronted Renner about the explicit images, he threatened to report her to immigration authorities, specifically ICE, aiming to have her deported.

“It is with deep regret, sadness, and disappointment that I am compelled to share a truth I have been holding inside for too long,” Zhou stated. “Mr Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before.”

Regarding Renner’s threats, Zhou said: “When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me.”

She added, “No woman, filmmaker, or creative should have to work under such emotional and psychological pressure while trying to protect her name and the integrity of her work.”
