Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou has publicly shared details about her former relationship with actor Jeremy Renner, accusing him of threats and sexual harassment both on and off set.
Zhou detailed her experience through social media posts and an interview with the Daily Mail. She alleged Renner sent her explicit photos and videos, engaged in drunken outbursts against her, and threatened to "call ICE" after their breakup.
“Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behaviour that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before,” Zhou said in one of her Instagram posts.
She also shared that Renner convinced her of his sincerity by claiming to have been single for a long time and open to a serious relationship.
“He convinced me of his sincerity, saying he had been single for a long time and open to a long-term relationship,” Zhou continued. “I believed in him, in the power of love and in the possibility of redemption.”
Zhou stated that Renner had entered into written agreements with her production company but later refused to support their joint projects, denying any personal or professional links.

The accusations come amidst an ongoing conversation about workplace behavior in the entertainment industry.
