Riley Keough believes she has received signs from her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, indicating her peace with how the memoir From Here to the Great Unknown was completed. Keough finished the book more than a year after Presley's death in 2023 by listening to tapes of her mother’s recorded memories.
Speaking at the Academy x Chanel Women’s Luncheon, the 36-year-old actress shared her thoughts on feeling her mother’s presence:
“I think if you're open to those things, they're kind of everywhere. I really do believe that. So, I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. I do feel connected to it, yeah. There are certainly moments that are very... too weird to not be something.”
Keough will expand on these experiences in a new heartfelt afterword included in the paperback edition of the memoir, which is set to release on November 11, according to publisher Penguin Random House.
Andrea Mandell, Senior Editor of Entertainment Projects at PEOPLE Magazine since 2022, has worked on special projects, film coverage, festivals, and awards.
