Michelin-recommended restaurant La Mar by Gastón Acurio, located at the InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa, announced "Trilogy of Cultures" — a special gastronomic event celebrating the global diversity and cultural richness of Peruvian cuisine. This one-night-only experience features three acclaimed chefs from Acurio’s culinary family, uniting distinct regional influences into a shared narrative of flavor and artistry.
The event offers guests a curated four-course menu that harmonizes heritage with innovation. Each chef contributes his unique vision, drawing from Peru’s deep-rooted fusion of Japanese, Chinese, and traditional Criolla cuisines.
Chef Kaoru Chang, Executive Chef of La Mar Bellevue in Seattle, will present his refined interpretation of Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine, where artistry meets precision. A third-generation Nikkei with nearly two decades of experience, Chef Chang refined his craft at famed establishments such as Nobu Restaurant Group and Juvia Miami Beach.
“His creations embody the balance between meticulous Japanese technique and the soulful spirit of Peru,” noted the restaurant’s announcement.
Chef Jesús Delgado, Corporate Executive Chef of JARANA and Tanta, will introduce guests to the warmth and complexity of Chinese-Peruvian Chifa cuisine, a unique tradition that represents the rich story of migration and culinary adaptation within Peru.
Through this collaboration, La Mar Doha continues to highlight Peru’s global culinary dialogue — a meeting point where heritage and innovation coexist, transcending borders through taste and storytelling.
