Police Targeted by Youths with Fireworks
Police have condemned the "absolutely unacceptable" behaviour of a group of up to 30 youths who targeted them with fireworks in Preston city centre.
The incident occurred over the weekend, with the youths initially aiming fireworks at members of the public and their properties, prompting police to scramble to the scene.
Upon arrival, the youths redirected their attack towards the police, with around 25 fireworks being aimed at their vehicles, some of which exploded within close proximity.
- Increased patrols are now in place in affected areas.
