Antonio Brown, former NFL wide receiver, has been extradited from Dubai and will face trial in Miami on an attempted murder charge.
The charge relates to a shooting outside an amateur boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood on May 16. Brown allegedly fired two shots at a man after an altercation during the event, which was streamed by internet personality Adin Ross.
On Thursday, authorities confirmed Brown, 37, was extradited from Dubai where he was allegedly evading U.S. law enforcement. He arrived in Newark, New Jersey, and was booked into Essex County Jail.
He is expected to be transferred to South Florida, though the timing remains uncertain.
