Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby residents are invited to participate in this year’s Remembrance Sunday events on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to honor those who served in the armed forces and emergency services.
Event Details
The annual Remembrance Sunday parade and service will return this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organizations, and community members in tribute.
- At 10:45 a.m., local veterans and youth organizations will parade through the city center to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
- A short service begins at 10:55 a.m., led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, including a two-minute silence.
- Wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and representatives from local groups.
The Order of Service is available for download, and the ceremony will be streamed onto a large screen in the Market Place.

Unlike previous years, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not parade, but several local youth and veteran organizations have been invited to participate.
