Christian Unity: A Challenging Goal

A question was posed: If Christianity is true, why do Christians disagree and argue about numerous things? The response was that if all Christians sought the full truth without compromise, the Church would not be plagued by division and disagreement.
Paul says: "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."
Additionally, in Philippians 2:2, Paul emphasizes the importance of being "like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." The Biblical template clearly opposes unnecessary disagreements.
