Loyola Launches Inaugural Big Easy Band Fest
Over 120 top high school concert band members will perform at the first-ever Big Easy Band Fest at Loyola University on November 8-9.
The two-day event will culminate in a Finalé Concert, featuring the Bourgeois Honor Bands, at the Roussel Performance Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.
The students will perform band repertoire masterpieces, led by Associate Professor Alan Mills and Col. Bourgeois, former conductor of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band.
The Finalé Concert will open with a tribute to the United States Marine Corps, celebrating its 250th anniversary.
