A chartered accountants' office in Blackheath town centre will be transformed into three new shops and five flats, after receiving approval from Sandwell Council.
The building, located on the corner of Long Lane and Park Street West, will undergo significant changes, but plans for a new detached two-storey block with four flats were rejected due to concerns about cramped conditions and incompatibility with the surroundings.
A separate application for a roof extension to create space for four new flats, as well as converting a two-storey storeroom into two new flats, is still pending council approval.
No official statement was provided by the council or Takhar Holdings regarding the decision.
