Indonesian Air Force Receives its First Airbus A400M

Indonesia has ordered two A400Ms, which will potentially receive a fire-fighting kit.

The Indonesian Air Force received the first of two Airbus A400M transport aircraft on November 3, 2025, at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta.

The aircraft was piloted by Airbus personnel and welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute by the commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Agus Subianto, TNI-AU chief Air Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, and Ministry of Defense officials.

Both the company and the TNI-AU are working on potentially integrating a fire-fighting kit on the Indonesian A400Ms, with the second aircraft expected to arrive in 2026.
