Angelica Kauffman was a talented artist and musician. She played the glass harmonica, cittern, and recited poetry to her guests.
Her large expressive eyes devoutly cast upwards
as described by Danish poet Helfrich Peter Sturz in 1768. He visited her London studio and was impressed by her skills.
