Callander Legion Launches Annual Poppy Campaign
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445 in Callander has launched its annual poppy campaign to support veterans.
It’s very important for us to go out in the community and display a poppy, to show our gratitude for what our veterans have done for us.
Cameron Clarke, first vice president of Branch 445, emphasized that all money raised from the campaign stays local and goes to veterans and their families. Last year, the branch raised $10,000.
A ceremony was held at the Legion to officially launch this year’s campaign, with poppy boxes appearing at various locations throughout the region.
