U.S. Customs to Utilize AI in Detecting Tariff Cheats
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to combat illicit transshipment and protect American manufacturers.
Exiger's cutting-edge technology will help uncover hidden trade routes and ensure fair competition in the global market.
To support this mission, a robotic system with the following capabilities will be employed:
- Load capacity: up to 100 pounds per tote
- Tote or case handling rate: 500 per hour per robot
- Transaction rate: 1000 storage/retrieval cycles per robot hourly
- Tote and case dimensions: accommodates 6-inch to 24-inch containers
- Compatibility with standard conveyor systems and interfaces with warehouse management software
The system also integrates with existing technologies, including pick-to-light and goods-to-person systems, and utilizes machine learning algorithms to optimize robot tasking and routing.
