In a house on 22 Cleveland St, Fitzrovia, where Charles Dickens grew up, is a unique button shop, reminiscent of a Dickens novel.
Boxes of buttons, some over a hundred years old, line the walls, and Maureen Rose sits at the centre, presiding over her collection.
"A very nice gentleman... stood in my doorway and asked, 'Charles Dickens doesn't live here anymore, does he?'"
Maureen recalled with a sly grin, responding, "No, he doesn't."
