AMD Discontinues Game Optimizations for Radeon RX 6000 & 5000 Series
AMD has stopped providing game optimizations for its older Radeon RX 6000 and 5000 Series graphics cards, instead focusing on its newer products.
The decision affects owners of these older cards, which are only four and six years old, respectively. Despite being relatively recent releases, they will no longer receive the same level of support as newer models like the Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 Series.
Graphics cards don’t last forever, and time may be running out for both Radeon RX 6000 and 5000 Series.
- Radeon RX 5000 Series and newer cards are still compatible with the latest Radeon drivers, Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2.
- Nvidia continues to support its comparable GeForce RTX 20 and 30 Series with full updates.
