Radeon Adrenalin 25.10.2 Update
AMD's latest Radeon driver has stirred up more discussion than usual, introducing a dual-branch driver structure and removing USB-C charging support on RX 7900 GPUs.
Published on 2025-10-30 by Hilbert Hagedoorn, the update initially experienced a mix-up, with the wrong version of the driver being live for about an hour, causing confusion for users trying to install it on older Radeon cards.
The new driver focuses on newer GPUs, with a 1.56 GB installer bundling two driver branches: version 25.20 for RX 9000 and RX 7000 cards (RDNA 4 and RDNA 3) and version 25.10 for older RX 6000 and RX 5000 series (RDNA 2 and RDNA 1).
The Adrenalin 25.10.2 update disables USB-C power delivery on all Radeon RX 7900 reference cards.
