Major Queens Rezonings Move Forward
The city's plans to transform large swaths of two of Queens' most bustling neighborhoods cleared Council votes, setting the stage for the rezoning of nearly 300 blocks to encourage the construction of nearly 27,000 new homes.
Both the OneLIC and Jamaica rezoning plans were passed in council votes, with OneLIC clearing a vote from two land use committees and the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan approved by the full Council.
