Physician to Appeal Dismissal of Case Challenging Macalester College's Fatal Animal Experiments
Neal Barnard, a Macalester College alumnus, plans to appeal a Hennepin County District Court decision affirming the school's motion to dismiss the case against its outdated animal laboratories.
The case, originally filed in June, accuses Macalester College of killing thousands of animals to teach elementary concepts in psychology, despite the availability of non-animal alternatives and the College's posted statements on applying the highest ethical standards.
Barnard announced his plans to appeal the October 28, 2025, decision.
