Upgrading to the New Windows Start Menu
Microsoft has introduced a new Start menu for Windows, addressing a long-standing issue with the original menu's layout.
The new Start menu offers a more convenient layout, eliminating the need to click the "All" button to view all installed apps. Instead, it provides three different ways to view all programs without the extra click.
The original Start menu features a list of shortcuts to apps and files chosen by Windows, placed in a Recommended section below the pinned apps.
Customizing the New Start Menu
To disable the Recommended section in the new Start menu, follow these steps:
- Right-click anywhere in the menu
- Select Settings
- Find the Personalization options menu
- Toggle off the options to:
- Show recently added apps
- Show recommended files
- Show recommendations for tips
The new Start menu saves you a click with its more convenient layout.
