Field Hockey Drops Match to Saint Francis University
The University of New Haven's field hockey team lost to Saint Francis University (SFU) 4-0 in a conference matchup.
The first goal was scored by SFU's Sofia Marciano at the 12-minute mark. The second quarter was scoreless, but SFU added another goal in the third quarter, accredited to Emilee Myers. Marciano scored the third and fourth goals for the Red Flash in the last quarter.
- Freshman goalkeeper Anne Marie Martin had a standout performance, stopping 21 out of 25 shots she faced.
- The Chargers had five shots on goal, compared to the Red Flash's 25.
- Forwards Emma Beaujouan and Brynna Courneen totaled two shots on goal each, with Jalia Cooper adding one.
The Chargers are now 0-13 overall.
