Man Charged After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Neville's Cross
A 22-year-old woman was killed in an alleged hit-and-run collision in Durham, prompting a large emergency response.
Emergency services were called to Neville's Cross on the A167 at approximately 2am on Sunday, October 26, after a woman was hit by a Volkswagen Golf.
The woman was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), where she sadly died a short time later.

- Liam Bowes, 37, of Langley Park, Durham, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, perverting the course of justice, driving without insurance, and failing to stop after a road accident.
Bowes has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court.
