Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman ends 18-inning World Series Game 3 thriller
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays played a tense nine innings full of momentum shifts, lead changes, thrilling heroics and hair-raising mistakes.
Game 3 of the World Series began on Monday in Los Angeles and ended on Tuesday.
Freddie Freeman’s solo home run in the bottom of the 18th inning lifted the Dodgers to a 6-5 victory6 hours and 39 minutes after the game began.
The game nearly ended earlier — on several occasions. In the 14th inning, Will Smith dropped his bat as he admiringly watched a deep fly ball to center field, only to see it land in the glove of Daulton Varsho some 383 feet from home plate.
