Swift Solar Deploys Perovskite Modules at DoD Cyber Exercise

Swift Solar, a US solar technology company, has deployed perovskite solar technology as part of a Department of Defence cyber warfare exercise in Virginia.

The company deployed its US-made perovskite tandem solar modules at the Cyber Fortress exercise in Virginia Beach, VA. This programme models a cyberattack on the US grid, testing the resilience of the energy infrastructure.

The modules were used in conjunction with the Rapid Deployment Hybrid MicroGrid (RDHM) system, produced by Resilient Energy & Infrastructure. According to Swift Solar, the exercise demonstrated the potential of high-efficiency perovskite solar products to

support energy resilience for national defence operations
