Recognition Matters
This week, I had the opportunity to read about the accomplishments of four-dozen brilliant women, aged 29 to 70, shortlisted for a series of awards recognising their business acumen, scientific work and social impact.
The prize, organised by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, asked me to join the group of distinguished judges, and I was delighted to be a part of it.
Some of the achievements of the Women Excellence award winners are nothing short of inspiring.
Our publication is also a prolific producer of prizes, and it's a huge effort that requires careful consideration to avoid becoming a cynical exercise.
Awards and recognition have been on my mind for the past three months, and I'm looking forward to the announcement of the Women Excellence award winners in November.
