ACR 2025 Convergence: Updates on New SLE Guidelines
At the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Meeting, Convergence 2025, new guidelines for the treatment and management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) were discussed.
These guidelines update the 1999 guidelines, reflecting important changes in the understanding of optimal use of standard rheumatology therapies.
The new guidelines include three strong recommendations and focus on organ-specific disease, including musculoskeletal, cutaneous, hematologic, and neurologic manifestations.
