Libya has signed the United Nations convention to combat cybercrime, joining 60 countries in the signing ceremony in Hanoi.
A Libyan delegation, headed by Abdullah Gaderboh, signed the convention in the presence of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
The convention, adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 24, 2024, will enter into force 90 days after 40 countries have ratified it.
The convention is the first comprehensive international legal framework to address cyber threats and transnational crimes in the digital space.
