Getting a Cut for a Cause at Sault Salon

A fundraiser at Catherine’s Hairstyling & Barbershop has generated more than $15,000 for Sault Ste. Marie charities.

During the "Cuts for the Cause" event, five stylists donated their earnings to benefit Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie & Area. Leah Borrelli was among the stylists, giving Janice Maki a haircut and style.

The event has helped groups such as the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Soup Kitchen Community Centre, and Algoma Residential Community Hospice. Owner Catherine O’Donnell estimates that the event has raised over $15,000.

"Cuts for the Cause" has raised more than $15,000 for local charities.
