Power Restoration in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley

Power has been mostly restored to residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley after a car crash on Saturday morning, October 25.

A car crash at Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road caused heavy damage to transformers, leading to a large power outage. Over 5,400 customers in Sedro-Woolley and Burlington were initially without power, with more than 1,000 still affected as of 1 p.m.

The Sedro-Woolley police stated that a motor vehicle crash likely led to the large power outage.

Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m., according to Puget Sound Energy.
