Connolly Ahead in Presidential Election
Heather Humphreys congratulated Catherine Connolly as she looks set to win the presidential election by a significant margin.

Ms Connolly expressed her delight with the tallies, which indicate she is the clear victor. The election saw a choice between left-wing independent Ms Connolly, former cabinet minister Heather Humphreys, and ex-Dublin football manager Jim Gavin, who withdrew from campaigning three weeks ago.
