According to Doug La Fave, Deputy City Manager and Director of Public Works, the city is aware of these issues and is working to address them.
At a recent city commission meeting, City Manager Shea Charles provided an update, stating that there have been three interactions between vehicles and e-devices since the start of the school year, with all injuries being minor.

- The city is considering enforcement items, including an ordinance with the Department of Public Safety.
