Sault Businessman Trembinski Served Public, Loved Cars
Gary Trembinski, the owner of Metallo's Mini Mart, passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 68.
Trembinski was a devoted public servant, having served as a city councillor and trustee for the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board. His son, Gary Trembinski Jr., remembered him as "a positive man" who "looked on the brighter side of life."

Trembinski had a varied career, working in real estate and industrial sales for companies such as William R. Gray Limited, Lake Superior Realty Inc., and Acklands Limited. In 2002, he purchased Metallo's Mini Mart, where he valued the one-on-one interactions with his customers.
Trembinski's son noted that his father cherished these interactions at one of Sault Ste. Marie's last independently owned corner stores.
