With car prices rising, more people in the Las Vegas Valley are turning to used cars as an affordable option. However, consumer attorneys warn that a "good deal" can end up costing thousands if not careful.
A local resident, Marie Sepian, shared her recent car-buying experience. She purchased a used 2024 Honda Civic from a small car lot in East Las Vegas, believing it to be a great deal. The car had 13,200 miles on it and appeared to be in excellent shape.
"I asked them if it had been in an accident, and he swore there were no accidents."
However, Sepian later discovered that the car had major structural damage, which the dealer had not disclosed.
Consumer attorneys advise caution when buying used cars to avoid costly surprises.
