Schneider’s Quality Meats Changes Hands
Schneider’s Quality Meats, located at 1323 N. Illinois Route 3 in Waterloo, has undergone a change in ownership.
Longtime owner Mark Lengacher has handed over the keys to Robert Oerter, who has been with the company for 22 years and has essentially been running the store for several years.
“We assure you, you’re being left in very good hands,”
Mark and Robin Lengacher wrote in a Facebook post, adding that Robert knows Schneider’s inside and out.
The Lengachers described the decision to retire as a bittersweet moment with a range of emotions, recalling when they purchased the store in July 2000 and were scared to death.
