Buckner Shines in Clemson Debut; Tigers Dominate New Hampshire

The Clemson University men’s basketball team began the 2025–26 season with a commanding 88–38 victory over New Hampshire on Monday night at Littlejohn Coliseum. The 38 points conceded were the fewest by Clemson in a season opener since December 11, 1946, when the Tigers defeated Erskine 58–30.

Buckner Leads with Impressive Debut

Redshirt freshman Ace Buckner from Dallas, Texas (La Lumiere School, Ind.) led the charge with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot. He surpassed the debut performance of his father, Greg Buckner, who in 1994 scored 10 points with nine assists and five rebounds against Charleston Southern.
