On Wednesday, 30th October 2025, the Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a focused operation as part of Operation Centurion to address off-road bike nuisance and related anti-social behaviour.
The operation involved the deployment of the Off-Road Bike Team and aimed to reduce disturbances caused by off-road bikes. This proactive effort was launched in response to concerns voiced by local residents about the negative effects of these activities in their communities.
Sergeant Paul Marsden of the Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team stated: “E-bikes and off-road bikes causing anti-social behaviour is an issue that has been raised by our community, and we want to reassure residents that we are listening and taking action. The results of this operation demonstrate our commitment to responding to your concerns and making Rossendale a safer and more peaceful place to live.”
Officers will continue collaborating with partners and the public to identify trouble spots and enforce regulations when necessary.
