A man has been sentenced for multiple offenses including shoplifting, making off without payment, and disqualified driving in Blackburn.
On 2nd October 2025, officers responded to reports of a wanted male sighted in the Eanam area of Blackburn. Upon arrival, they arrested Chris Hamer, 37, of Clayton Street, Blackburn, for theft from a shop.
On 3rd November 2025, Hamer appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court and was sentenced to eight weeks in prison.

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s initiative against shoplifting, supported by the Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw and the Lancashire Partnership Against Crime (LANPAC).
