Lorraine Kelly, 65, has revealed she is upset by significant reductions to her long-standing ITV daytime programme. In May, it was announced that Good Morning Britain would take over her 9–10am slot for 22 weeks annually.
"I was disappointed, of course I was. This is the world that we live in now."
She described the changes as "seismic" and shared her sorrow mainly because her experienced team will be affected, with job losses expected.
"Things have to change, I mean, I've been through so many regime changes in my life. For me, this is just another one, but it's seismic. The thing that has upset me the most is the fact that we've got this great team, and obviously, that's not going to be in place next year because jobs will go."
Lorraine emphasizes the upheaval not only to the show's format but also to the people behind it, lamenting the loss of key team members due to the shake-up.
Summary: Lorraine Kelly feels deeply saddened by the major ITV show cuts, highlighting the emotional toll of losing her team and the drastic changes to her programme’s format.
