Poppies and related merchandise to aid veterans are now available across Alberta — in stores, local legions, and online, including through the Royal Canadian Legion’s Amazon storefront.
The organization has opened its Amazon store for the second consecutive year, offering items like poppy flowers, lapel pins, and magnets to commemorate Remembrance Day on November 11.
“The Poppy Campaign is the legion’s most significant fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support Canada’s veterans and their families,”
— stated the Royal Canadian Legion in its Friday news release.
The campaign began Friday and continues until Remembrance Day. Albertans can obtain pins through the Legion’s online poppy store or make a donation at traditional poppy boxes placed in outlets across the province, including TD Bank locations.
This initiative ensures that all donations directly benefit Canadian veterans and their loved ones, reflecting a long-standing tradition of remembrance and community solidarity.
The Calgary Poppy Campaign unites Albertans in remembrance, offering poppies and symbolic items to fund essential support for veterans and their families.
