The Phoenix Suns are still waiting to field their complete lineup. Both Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks have missed several games due to injuries. Green suffered a hamstring issue before the preseason and has yet to participate in any regular-season game, while Brooks sat out his third straight contest after straining a core muscle during last Friday’s matchup with the Utah Jazz.
Head coach Jordan Ott shared the latest status on both players, noting the team’s cautious approach in their return to play.
“It’s continuing to evaluate them day by day. We haven’t had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday was mostly film and walkthrough, and they’ve been able to take part in all of that,” said Ott.
Both Brooks and Green joined the Suns earlier this year as part of the trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston.
Green, initially ruled out before the start of the regular season and expected to be reassessed after ten days, remains without a confirmed debut date for the Suns.
“You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It’s the same in practice. He’s been great the entire time. So he’s getting it in here and there, and that’s really helped him as he’s progressed,” Ott added.
Despite his absence from game action, Green’s consistent practice work could accelerate his eventual return once he’s cleared for live play.
Brooks and Green remain sidelined for Phoenix, with steady day-to-day progress and optimism about their upcoming return to the court.
