SNAP and WIC Updates

Changes in Naloxone Support
Starting November 8, 2025, Iowa HHS will no longer support Kloxxado in the Administration and Secondary Distribution programs. Further details are available in the linked notice.
Community Safety and Naloxone Initiatives
Protecting Iowans and preventing opioid-related fatalities requires statewide collaboration. HHS runs several programs offering free naloxone nasal spray to ensure rapid response during opioid overdose emergencies.
Who Can Apply?
To receive naloxone kits, applicants should first identify the initiative that fits their needs. Eligible organizations can request free naloxone for use during suspected opioid overdoses encountered in their routine work.
- One application is designed for Iowa Organizations, Businesses, and Schools.
- The other application targets Law Enforcement Agencies and Non-EMS Regulated Fire Departments.
