From November 5 to 6, Paris will witness the largest full moon of the year, a rare event not seen for nearly half a century. Known as the full Castor Moon, it stands out as one of the most significant Super Moons.
Unlike usual full moons, this Super Moon will be visible in broad daylight starting at 2:19 p.m. It will glow brilliantly in the Parisian sky, offering a magical daytime spectacle.
According to IMCEE (Institut de mécanique céleste et de calcul des éphémérides), “this exceptional full moon should also be visible until the morning of November 6, when the spectacle should be particularly memorable from the moment you jump out of bed.”
This close proximity makes the full moon appear astonishingly bright and large against the clear blue sky, creating a striking and rare celestial contrast.
Don't miss this extraordinary chance to see a full moon so near our planet, shining brightly by day and lingering well into the next morning.
“It’s been almost half a century since we’ve witnessed such a phenomenon. The lunar star has never been so magical!”
Author’s summary: The upcoming full Castor Moon over Paris is a rare supermoon event, visible by day and night, appearing brighter and larger than usual due to its close approach to Earth.
