The French Tech3 team is about to turn a new page in 2026. After more than 30 years under Hervé Poncharal's leadership, Richard Coleman, a British motorsport expert, will become the new team manager.
Though not widely known among MotoGP fans, Richard Coleman brings a fresh perspective from the world of four-wheel racing. His mix of engineering and business skills promises significant changes for the team.
Born in 1987, Coleman began his career very young as an apprentice engineer with Mitsubishi in the World Rally Championship (WRC). He later joined Chevrolet in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), gaining firsthand experience in competitive motorsports.
Under his leadership, Mayfield Sports Management secured over $150 million in sponsorship deals spanning motorsports, football, and cycling.
Richard Coleman's blend of engineering expertise and sports business acumen positions him to lead Tech3 into a new and ambitious chapter in MotoGP.
